On our way to Parkside

We love the drive to church each Sunday. We are attending Allistair Begg's church, Parkside.
After trying several churches since relocating, we have settled here and are very happy. Most churches in the area do not have Sunday evening services or the atmosphere is very contemporary. After being at Grace Church for so many years, we are very "picky". So, although the drive is close to an hour, we have decided to make Parkside our church home. We enjoy the drive through the country...then just as you come over one last hill, you can see the steeple in the distance.

Some "Local Color"

On our way to church, we drive
through Hudson, Ohio
which is a quaint little village once
owned by the state of Connecticut.
Actually, most of northeastern Ohio
was owned by Connecticut at one time,
which is why these little towns
have a New England feel. Most have
a town square with a gazebo and lots
of trees. They are especially
pretty right now since we are at
"peak".

Fickle Football Fans

These are our "boys", Dakota and
Bootu. They had always been Tampa
Bay fans, but after moving back
to Ohio, Bootu changed his allegiance to
Ohio State.

Fall is Finally Here

When we bought this house, one of the
things I loved about it was all the
trees. I told Rick it would be so
much fun raking all the leaves in the
fall. Well, you see who does all the
work! My job is to take pictures.

Are you ready for some Football???

Rick is anxious for the McKinley vs. Massillon game. Big-time rivals!

Hanging out with some of my favorite people

For those who don't know...the 2 old guys are our sons Todd and Steve.

Cuyahoga National Park

I know it's not Yosemite, but Cuyahoga National Park has a beauty of it's own. We had a great day hiking and exploring caverns.

A National Park in Ohio?

Todd and his family were happy to find a great place for hiking while they were here.

Reunion!

I used to double date with Beverly Kay and her husband Pete when we were in high school. Rick finally had a chance to meet them a few weeks ago. We met in Amish country and brought them to our house for the afternoon.

California Trip

Deana and I made a trip to California.
It was great spending spring break with the kids.

Who's the Doll???

An afternoon at the American Doll in Los Angeles. That's Tracy, Elizabeth, Julie and Catherine.

Debbie's whirlwind visit

Debbie surprised Dad by coming for his 80th birthday. We made a very fast visit to Hillsboro Ohio which we consider our "home". We met up with friends we had not seen in over 40 years, Bob and Amy Chambers and Waldo and Judy Ferguson. What a great time!

An Afternoon with the girls

My daughter-in-law, Julie had a chance to meet Deana's daughter-in-law, Patricia. Catherine is with her new buddie, Jessie and Mom is on the couch next to Deana.

Why live anywhere else?

It seems like overnight the trees have changed color!

Niagara Falls

Jacob and Elizabeth on the "Maid of the Mist".

Steve and Tracy

Steve, Tracy and the kids visited in the summer. We made a special trip to Niagara Falls.

A visit from Todd and family

Todd, Julie and the kids were able to come for a visit last year. We had a great time with them. They especially enjoyed Amish country and eating at the Cracker Barrel.

This is my little sister, Deana. She just turned 51 in July. I'm 9 years older than her, so that would make me...well, you can do the math!

Best Friends forever!

This is my friend Beverly Kay and me. We had been in jr. high school and high school together. We lost contact when I moved away. Through the help of some old friends I found on the internet, we were put in touch with each other after 43 years! It was truly a minor miracle. I'm forever grateful to those who helped get us back together.

A perfect day!

We'd just had a wonderful lunch in Amish country at one of our favorite places, The Inn at Honey Run.

My personal "computer geek"

This is my precious nephew Dean who is "on call"
24/7 to help me with all my personal computer needs! Thankfully he works for food!

Getting ready for Halloween on Lindy Lane

People drive by slowly to make sure these are
just stuffed and not Rick and Cherie. It's been
unusually warm for fall. Leaves are just now
beginning to change colors. It's really beautiful.
Soon someone will have to rake all these leaves.

Rick is finally able to start horsing around. This is his buddy, Mocha.
