First official snow day!

Elizabeth's teacher told her if she flushed ice cubes down the toilet, it would cause it to snow more during the night and they'd probably have a snow day the next day. Well, I think she emptied the ice maker and it snowed all night. Now, Elizabeth loves school...but EVERYONE needs a snow day once in a while!

It started snowing lightly at dark.

We have lots of icicles...watch out...they're deadly!

My folks have a great hill for sledding in their front yard.

Go Jake! If you look closely, you can see Great Grandma and Grandpa watching out the window.

Snow time

These are mostly for Todd who wanted to see pictures of our snow.

This is on the golf course just behind our house.

It's a great place for sledding.

It's been a long time coming!!!

These are just some random photos of some happy people during the last few weeks. Everyone is well and adjusting to life in Ohio. It's wonderful to see smiles on these faces again after what they've been through the last few years.

Elizabeth has a new camera, so she's had fun taking silly pictures.
In case you didn't know, this is Jacob and he's tired of having his picture taken.

South Carolina

We just spent a wonderful week in Beaufort South Carolina.
We rented a beach house close to Hunting Island which had an
indoor swimming pool. The kids made great use of it. We spent
many hours at the beach, rested, found wonderful seafood restaurants,
and did lots of sightseeing.

Steve's new job was very understanding about taking a week off
for our South Carolina trip, in fact they encouraged it! They knew
how important it was for them to have this time together. God has
been so good to this family. We are so grateful!
